In 2018, the St. Lawrence County Public Health Department received funding to help combat the opioid epidemic our community is facing. The funding is being used to increase the number of providers in our area who provide treatment, help reduce the stigma associated with substance use, provide education and support to health care providers, community partners, residents, and the recovery community.
St. Lawrence County Partners for Overdose Prevention is a collaboration of community partners working together to prevent overdose and overdose death within our community. We work together to provide harm reduction education, connect at-risk individuals to services, and promote health and wellness, and embrace recovery by meeting people where they are at.
